Creating a book & public domain

Okay. I just had a kooky idea. I want to make a book of card magic.

However, I want to take a book that is already public domain, but change the illustrations.

I'm trying to research the odds and ends of it at the moment. But would anyone who is vastly more privy in this sort of area than I know if something like this is even feasible?

You know it. Although this idea takes it one step further.

The only problem is: even if it's doable and I (somehow) manage to get it done. I have no idea who would sell it.

E x M got me to look at EATCT and I got this idea as a result of thumbing through some pages.

Public Domain books are just that - public domain. The text is usable by anyone, and can be printed and sold as you wish. I looked into this for something I was thinking about a while back. It has to be declared that the text is in the public domain, though.

The programs that they offer are really great. They help you make a title and cover page. The format is interesting make sure you know what your publisher requires before moving forward.
