I don't own it, but I'm fairly certain it's taught in Stars of Magic. Or maybe that was John Scarne's? Idk, I'm sure someone can help you.

As for a "good cups and balls" routine, get Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic. It has a full chapter on the Cups and Balls, along with countless others using other pieces of magic.
