Definition of "manipulation", one I can source.

I'm trying to help improve an article on wikipedia, related to Project Magic (look at the talk page for a variety of magic articles on wikipedia, say, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Sleight_of_hand , for a link).

What I'm looking for is preferably 2 (or 10!) credible sources which I can reference which define what "manipulation" means in context to a magic performance, and preferably related to cards (but, not necessarily).

I know what it means to -me-, from studying magic, but... It's hard to find a definition. Even what you'd think would be a dead give-away spot for what qualifies as manipulation, such as the rules for FISM manipulation acts, http://www.fism.org/ContestRule-English.htm (which I'd believe to be a kind of bar of manipulation acts world wide) doesn't define it.

Any books, movies, publications etc appreciated. If you can cite it for me here, that's great. Otherwise I'm always expanding my magic library as it is.

Many thanks!
