Hello.
I am having a little problem with this control. After I spread, clip the card at the middle finger (yes, I clip it at the corner with the spread clipped), when I try to take it in, my ring finger gets in the way, or sometimes it remains sticking out under the spread.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to make this work ?
Thanks in advance.

I found this control quite difficult when I learned subway so I replaced it with a control of mine than I invented that later became AP spread control found on the on demand section of dananddave.com I heard a lot of people have come up with it by themselves, but if you still want to do the DMB spread control then I can't help you, sorry.

This move takes a lot of practice to be smooth, accurate, consistant, etc... Try arranging your fingers differently. For example, keep your pinkies on the lower ends of the deck (straddle grip).

Tony Chang goes into great detail on this control on his DMV video (T11 Download) and on his Sandwiches download available at Vanishingincmagic and Bluecrown.
