Hey, I just made up a trick and I was wondering if it already existed, so the trick,

"Spectator selects a card, it is then lost in the deck. 2 cards are then given to the spectator to put anywhere into the deck (But they have to be together). The spectator then goes through the deck to find his/her card inbetween the two other cards".

What you described was a very sandwichy sorta trick which ccan easily be accomplished with a couple of sleights.
i wouldnt be too proud of it just yet.

I was just wondering if there was another sandwich effect like that.

I'll try explaining it a bit more to see if there is one exactly like it.

1) Spectator selects any card
2) Card is lost in deck
3) Two cards are produced
4) Spectator checks the two cards
5) Deck is spread in the hands of the magician as the spectator puts the two cards anywhere
6) The deck is then squared up and given to the spectator
7) Spectator goes through deck to find his card in between the 2 other cards.

ok, sounds cool, not too original.

Kinda sounds like just any old sandwitch routine. Finding out if stuff is original is REALLY hard nowadays, but you really have to come up with something groundbreaking for it to be completely original now...

Just keep at it, add new twists and such.

I just remembered another one too, there is a video of it somewhere, I'll try find it for you... It utilises the Groove Electric Switch and can be found in The Cards Remain the Same - Doc Docherty. :)

Found the video: Groovy Link

- Sean

Yeah, that seems very familiar, I don't leave the card sticking out though, I could though. Thanks for giving me this link :)

I think those that want to create effects will have more success in being original if they step away from cards.
And do more organic magic.Like Chris Laffertys Freezer Burn effects.
Oh my god I love those notes!

But if I were ever to create..I think id wait a couple more years to actually create magic.
I dont think 11 years of magic really qualifies me to start creating.
