Fanning Powder Debate

Two weeks into this game and I have a question about fanning powder.

Recently I just received my New Deck Order School of Cardistry decks.

I'm enjoying this deck but the one downside is that this deck sucks for fanning. I have this same problem with my Casino Grade Bee's Decks as well.

I was wondering if Fanning Powder would help but I've heard mixed opinions about this topic in this forum?

Some people swear by it and others say don't use it, it's a waste of money, and you should just get better at fanning.

I'm clear I need to log some serious practice time in. However, there is no question there is a difference between decks. I fan pretty well with my Tally-Ho, Virtuoso, and Fontaine decks. However the NDO decks are just awful.

So is fanning powder actually worth it or a waste of money?

Well the question here is to ask yourself if the cards are clumping. Fanning powder is primarily made of Zinc Stearate which is a water resistant chemical compound. By adding this powder the cards will have reduced friction and should slide better. This product is also supposed to increase card life. With these two factors in mind you should ask yourself if you think it's worth it for that purpose.

The NDO decks are definitely clumping. I guess the question I have to answer is it really worth it for just a couple of decks what fan poorly when I have plenty of other decks that fan pretty well.
