All personal perference.

I've been doing flourishes for a year and 3 months and there are people who has barely done a year or 10 months that is a whole lot better than me.
It's just how much you put practice in it.

Yeah. Some things also will just come naturally to you. I've been flourishing somewhere between 9-12 months. At first I was very slow to learn flourishes, but I've improved. Still, there are others who've flourished for less time who are better than me, partly because they've focussed on it, but they could just be natural learners too. It depends on yourself, as well as the time you put into it, as Eddie said.

Practice and seeking advice when needed are the two things that will help you with Flourishing. It will take a great deal of time and for awhile you may feel that you're not going anywhere but that will change. When you find yourself stuck on a flourish that you've been trying to work out but can't then simply seek out assistance from someone that knows the flourish. Hopefully they can provide you with more information then "practice".
