Golden Nuggets - what is this?

I recently ordered 2 vintage Golden nuggets form ebay. They looked legite, but when I got them I noticed something. They are from the golden nugget casino, but they are from the atlantic city one and are a sleightly different design and different jokers. Also the jokers say they are plastic coated. They don't feel like the crap plastic coated cards, but they fan pretty well. I was just wondering if these cards are of a different quality than the ones from the Las Vegas Casino?

eBay is a difficult thing to read. One day a deck could go for $100, and the next day it could go for $30. It's all about demand, and the amount of bidders. Anyways, Golden Nuggets prices are basically dependent on the color of the deck. Red and black decks are seen often, so the usually do not price very high. However, blue and orange decks are EXTREMELY rare, and they typically gross a higher price.

Anyways, in my experience it is kind of like this:
Black<Red<Green<Brown<Blue<Purple<Orange
And that is just the Las Vegas Golden Nugget's. The Atlantic City decks typically go for a little less.

The Past 3 LV Goldens on eBay went for around $40-$50. However, a brown deck recently sold for around $95. The past couple AC decks have gone for around $25.

All that is for sealed decks. Open decks usually go for $8-$20 or so, with some exceptions dealing with color. Anyways, yeah I have 3 open decks on eBay. Right now they're at like $10, but there is still 5 days left. It might not go up much, so you might be able to get a steal.

And this quote was from a couple of months ago so don't really mind the prices yet.

A whole lot nicer? They're the same quality. The Vegas ones went for a little more at that time because, well, they're from Vegas. Right now, though, the Vegas and Atlantic City's are going for about the same.

they are usually in better condition, seeing that they are from vegas more people hold onto them and keep them in better condition.

just because you dont have the logic to understand my superior thoughts, i will explain.

here is a hypothetical situation
you have to cars, both exactly the same. you realize that they are both nice, and could become classics. so for one of them, you drain the fluids, and winterize it for long-term storage. the other you just let sit because you dont think that that color will be as wanted. which car will have more value in 20 years?

the one that you took more care of right?
thats because it looked more valuable. you would much rather treasure and treat better what you think will worth more.

now do you understand?

What's your problem with Atlantis city? Who said they don't know how to take care of stuff?

Yeah you sure have some superior thoughts over mine.

Do you actually think the Golden Nugget casino thought their cards would be worth something? I mean, they're little pieces of cardboard covered in plastic. Your logic is ridiculous.

its all a matter of opinion....i believe that your logic is ridiculous...if a casino thought that there deck wasnt worth a penny...why would they sell it....

Opinion? Wow what opinion? You're assuming it as a fact that Las Vegas take care more of their stuff than Atlantis City...
You make no sense...
How is TheMagicalSock's logic ridiculous? He is talking about that the Casino never thought that their cards would be worth as much as now. Since back then they were only a dollar. Why not sell their cards? If they don't need it, it's best to rather make SOME money out of it than just throw them away.

I never said Casinos throw away decks... I was giving an example if they would do that or sell it. Wow, you know what I'm done arguing with you, please go and work hard in school because right now, you need help.

You can trash talk back to me, but oh well I won't be in this thread ever again.

Guys,

Please refrain from the back and forth and disrespectful arguing. There's no need to attack or bash any member, regardless of their thoughts, ideas, et al.

Furthermore, let's keep all discussion respectful, courteous, and professional, as there are rules that need to be followed. Cool?

Thanks,
JTM
