How do you transition from one flourish to another?

  1. Hey guys!!! It' me again. So I have developed an interest in cardistry a couple of days ago and I have watched some cardistry videos from YouTube and I was wondering, "How do they transition from one move to another without looking choppy?" This is because every time I try to do some cardistry I just jump from one move to another and it makes the performance look a bit messy.
  2. Good question. I don't know! I have tried to film cardistry but I can't ever get things to look as good as E, Theory11 or the Virts
  3. Normally they have a panning/some sort of movement.
Cardistry in real life is actually sort of boring, camera tricks make it interesting.
  4. Try using things like lens flares, or things moving in front of the camera, or maybe the camera moving behind things. Just clever little editing tricks.
  5. Amusing that everyone is talking about video, not real life performance.

Flourishing is a type of contacting juggling. You have to find the points between various moves that allow you to flow from one to the other. Don't watch magicians - watch jugglers.
