Hello ,

I don't want to combine Lit by Dan Hauss and Dan White with Smoke by Alan Rorrison together . So my question is , do you think using Smoke as a lead on to Lit is better or vice versa and why ?? Appreciate your help .

Thank you

I've performed them together quite a few times. Smoke is a perfect lead-in to Lit. It gets the matchbook in play, it's organic, and it creates interest for spectators in seeing more "performance-style" magic (as opposed to the off-beat organic style of Smoke). Also, Smoke is quick and visual and grabs attention--perfect opener. Even moreso for Lit because it gets the matchbook in play for your next effect (Lit). Two other points to consider for routining the two: Lit is the stronger effect of the two, so you want to build; and it doesn't make sense to perform Smoke after Lit as the matchbook already introduced has now changed into the card. Now you either have to change it back into a matchbook or take out anther matchbook or lighter (which doesn't look good).
