Magic Castle, LA

Hi everyone,
I am a magician lover and with my Aussie husband we re coming to visit Los Angeles few days at the end of December. I heard very nice things about the magic castle but it looks quiete hard to get in. Any tips besides paying the annual fee ( there are 4 months to wait and I m afraid it'll be too late...)?
Thanks for any advices, I'd be so excited to spend a night there!

From what I know it’s quite a closed community where you have to dress well and pay to enter. I suppose it’s not really made for visitors or tourists except if you are introduced by a member. I might be wrong though I never been there (I walked in front of it once when I visited LA ).

You need get a guest pass from an existing member of the AMA, and you are required to have dinner on site. Dress code is strictly enforced - evening attire. I don't recall if there's a door fee or not.
