Magic for anatomy?

I have a couple of school projects I have to do and present, and I’m thinking about ways to maybe incorporate magic into them.

One of them involves joints, such as hinge joints and pivot joints in your elbows and what not. We are supposed to build a model of a joint. Doesn’t have to be anatomically perfect, it just has to mimmick a certain type of joint. I think this will be the hardest to turn into a magic trick.

There’s another one where it just needs to have something to do with a body system, like the skeletal system is the one I’m leaning toward choosing for my project.

Anybody got any rough ideas to throw at me?

I just read Mary Roach's book Gulp. It is a great book, but it makes me think of how the digestive system changes things by breaking them down. You could illustrate this with any type of a changing effect. You could also talk about the body's ability to heal itself and perform a broken and restored something or other.
