I liked the song.

I understand what you were trying to achieve however what was demonstrated was very different. Why did you place small stickers on the cards, I understand the concept however the cards should have been completely covered which would have allowed the words to be larger. The cards were almost entirely out of frame, so in the eyes of the laymen you could have simply switched the deck. After about 30 seconds the routine got very boring, and there was no point at all to use cards.

I didn't really like it too much. There really wasn't anything magical other than proving u can false cut/shuffle a deck a bunch of times. Have you ever tried to watch a music video on youtube but all you find is videos of a color background or still image with the song in the background and lyrics scrolling across the screen? Unfortunately, your video kind of reminded me of that but the lyrics were on cards instead of over a still image/background. I appreciate you sharing the video though, that's just my input.

If I had covered the card faces completely I would not have been able to perform the necessary sleights. As it is, it was pretty hard to do some of the sleights with the words glued on. As for the deck switching thing, I think you're thinking too much like a magician. Most people would just assume that it was part of the trick if I did a deck switch. I do appreciate your thoughts though! I will be making more of these in the future so I will deff consider what you had to say =]

Ok, I beg to disagree but I respect your opinion nonetheless =] All of the laymen I showed it too (as you can read in the comments) were quite blown away by it. Thanks though for your honest opinion

People are a lot smarter than you give them credit for. James Galea has done his 673 queen street thing many times on TV and people know the method after the second viewing. Not the sleights or anything but the overal concept.

An alternative would have been to print directly onto a blank faced deck or got someone with amazing handwriting to do it for you. My advice would be to show this video you you YouTube band friends and see if they are happy with it, I am sure they won't like it.

If you are hell bent on using cards for this contest read the lyrics and make the magic match up to the lyrics. One example would be having Ching Chongqing written on the card and do a colour change changing it to I love you. There are many many more examples contained in the lyrics.
