Multiple Use Gimmicks

I'm really tired of magic tricks that involve using gimmicks. The problem is that some tricks have you ruin a card EVERY TIME you perform the effect. What are some good card effects that have gimmicks that can be used multiple times?

Distortion by Wayne Houchin is very good effect that uses gimmick and you can use it for a long time.

card ere really cheep. You can get 12 brand new pack of standard back bikes for 20 something dollars on amazon. that makes a trick that ruins a card cost you a little over 3 cents. You can also use a deck with missing cards for nearly every trick so your deck will ware out faster than you will use too many cards to make is useful. Remember that in the end it is all about the effect created for the audience.
