Need Help With Routine Timing!

I have an audition for a talent show this Saturday where I only have 90 seconds to audition. I am planning on preforming a variation on the Zandman Book Test, But the routine takes about 2 minutes to preform. And when I try to cut down on the dialogue it sounds very rushed and they dont have time to process it.

Any help is deeply appreciated.

I don't own the Zandman Book Test (I've ordered it though!) but from the trailers it looks like you should be able to cut it down to 90 seconds. Isn't just showing them the book, riffling through until they say stop then having them memorize the first word on the page?

I mean obviously you probably have a whole patter developed to really draw people in but surely you can just cut portions out for the sake of brevity?

If making it any shorter makes you uncomfortable then perhaps try a different trick that is shorter?

P.S. I am just a layman so I apologize in advance if I suggested something really stupid or rude. I'm just going off of the trailer.
