Hello all. I'm currently working on PH's Blackjack Challenge from AOA vol. 2, and for those of you who are familiar with it (if you aren't, check it out!), you know it ends with producing a royal flush. This gave me an awesome opportunity to do Cheng's Change from TA in a routine, but then it occurred to me. What does a royal flush have to do with the game of blackjack? So I've been trying to come up with some ideas to keep the blackjack theme at the end, but I've hit a mental block. Any ideas on how to end a blackjack routine?

Everyone could get 21 as an ending through hits, possibly, or you could end with a nice two card change. Or you could gather up the cards and shuffle, and everyone gets blackjack

You could say something like, "But see Blackjack isn't my game. I've never quite liked it as much as a game...(Dramatically start to show royal flush)...of poker."

or

"But see, Blackjack isn't my game. I have never quite liked it as much as poker. And in poker, you can't do better...(Start showing hand) than a royal flush! That's why you should NEVER play cards with a magician!"

You could end by producing a winning black jack hand...pick the cards up...hold the two cards together...flex them and a few casino chips fall out from under them.

You could end by producing a winning black jack hand but instead of there being backs on the two cards they are blank backs that have a message written on them, "Don't Ever Bet Against Me" or something to that effect.

Hey Sean,

PH's Blackjack Challenge is quite the thing already... you want to add on to it? :p

maybe i read that wrong. You just want to use Cheng's Change in the routine but your not so hot on the Royal Flush production in a long Blackjack routine? Cheng's Change is a 5 card to 5 card change with 2 of the cards remaining the same, so that is a bit tricky to fit into the game of Blackjack. If you talk about card cheating and gambling in the routine you could produce 5 Aces with the change. I have played around with this and like the idea of 5 aces at the end of a routine, but then you would have to work in the extra aces somehow.

It was kind of an idea that I was playing with last night. My original plan was to use Cheng's Change to reveal the royal flush rather than the Ascanio spread in the original version, but then I decided I wanted to scrap the royal flush at the end to keep the routine purely a blackjack routine. However, I think I'll keep it thanks to everyone's help with justifying it.

I've also come up with a story that's about everyone's favorite dealer because all he can deal are blackjacks, and at the end the dealer states that he doesn't really like blackjack and is more of a poker player and produces the royal flush.

@Rick, that sounds like a great idea! It's just a matter of how to load the chips in the cards. Or, I can have the chips appear under the cards after I flip the pairs to show the blackjack. Hmm....

Anyway, thanks guys! You've all been a great help!
