Hey whats up, I commented on your video but one more thing.
There's a pretty cool application with this that I just noticed. I'll post it as a video response to yours later.
No offence dude but this is basically a simplified hot shot cut, except you just catch the card back on top of the deck...
Non taken yea in some ways it is easier but i still like it besides if its easier it will help beginners with the real hot shot

this move has been done before by brian tudor and is his invention. it is call tudor's kick out

I don't know if Brian Tudor invented it. Though I haven't read the book, I have it on good authority that there's a very similar move in By Forces Unseen by Stephen Minch. In practice I have accidentally done this 'recon shot' while trying to learn a different move.
