I was so sad to hear the legendary bar magician, JC Wagner, passed away this evening. He was an influential pioneer in modern close-up magic and had many noteworthy friends in the craft. I remember seeing him perform at the Magic Castle just a few months ago, and he displayed so much life, talent, and spirit even through his long battle with cancer. May he rest in peace...

Just got the email. This is a very sad day. I had the pleasure of meeting JC about a year ago, and it was amazing experience. I want to go to Magic - Con this year, and I know he would have been 1 of the lecturers, I can't believe I don't have the oppurtunity to talk to him again.

Wow...this is incredibly sad. Great guy. His material was and still is great.
