Hey guys! You all know what it's time for...this week's SNC!

To get straight to the point, we haven't had this type of contest in a long while. With the release of The Archive, we are giving away 1000 points to this week's winner. And this is for EVERY SNC from here on out. You get the points on top of the other prizes!

So this week's contest is very simple. All you have to do is create your own flourish. That's it! To get an advantage over the competition, make sure your flourish is unique. Add style, make new grips, new displays, or anything else that you have never seen before. Stand out above the rest!

Film your flourish and upload it to either YouTube or Vimeo, and post the link to your video in response to THIS forum thread by no later than 7:30pm EST tomorrow (Sunday, September 23rd). You have 24 HOURS! Put some thought into your new creation, and make sure it stands out above the rest. After time is up, our panel of judges will go through each submission and decide on a winner.

What can you win this week? A 6 Pack of Rebels and a 6 Pack of Silver Monarchs, on top of the 1000 Elite Member Points!

These are the first 1000 points we have ever given away for the winner of the SNC. We can't wait to see who is going to be taking them home! Start brainstorming!

Lastly, as a way of contributing to the contest, Patrick Kun quickly helped me film this video. MAGNETIC MOTION is 3 different flourishes that will be taught on The Wire coming soon from yours truly. Check it out here! With that said, good luck and have fun!

This really got to me... I had to... New style, new grips, new displays, and anything else I've never seen before.

I've never created a flourish before, this was actually quite fun! I truly tried to obey the creative rule, particularly about new grips, so I tried to avoid the z-grip at all costs, which I could not escape from the only other time I tried to create a flourish. I ended up coming up with two grips, the first is an easy way to get into the second grip with your other hand, so basically the cut starts with the first grip in each hand, and with that twisting motion you get into the second one with each. Each hand then closes by putting its packet in the second grip back onto the corresponding packet in the other hand, then everything closes up. It had a couple of different forms before I landed on this one, which is my favourite. Great idea for a contest, there should be more of these, definitely will create more flourishes in the future! Thank you Andrei
