Saturday Night Contest - Holiday Magic 2012

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by j.bayme, Dec 15, 2012.

  1. Hope everyone has had a great week and start to the weekend. It's certainly been a crazy week here at theory11, with thousands of Artisans folded, packaged, and shipped individually by hand. It was a monumental task, but we made it happen - and all orders have been shipped!

For this week's contest, we wanted to celebrate the holiday season. The challenge is to perform ANY magic effect using holiday-related items. Ornaments, Candles, Light Bulbs, Candy Canes, Ribbons, Christmas Trees, Tree Branches, Mistletoe, and anything of the sort.

It can be ANY type of magic effect, as long as it uses a Holiday-related item. You could perform a broken and restored candy cane, color changing ornament, vanishing Christmas Tree, or maybe even a levitating ornament. Your effect does NOT have to be totally new and original, but the more original and creative, the better. Try to put your own spin on it. Maybe you could adapt a holiday theme to an otherwise normal magic effect.

You have 24 HOURS to create, film, upload to YouTube or Vimeo, and post the link to your video in response to THIS forum thread by no later than 7:30pm EDT on Sunday, December 16th. Once time is up, our panel of judges will go through each submission and decide on a winner.

This week's prize is a BRICK of Artisans, 12 Holiday Contest Tokens, and 1,000 Elite Member Points. Go for it!

  3. It is very interesting to me that nearly every entry so far interpreted this to include cards...

  4. Let me break that trend.

    Here is my entry:
