Saturday Night Contest - Packet Cutter v3

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Casey Rudd, May 11, 2019.

  1. Hey guys, hope you’re all having a great weekend! It's time to bring back one of my favorite cardistry contests for a new edition...

Your challenge this week is to create a cardistry move that is a packet cut. The number of packets can be up to you, however we want to see packets only. No single cards at the start, middle, or end of your flourish. We’re looking for creativity, originality, and execution. The more creative and original the better, but we are also looking for a smooth performance.

PLEASE NOTE: To qualify for judging, your video has to contain a statement from you that this is specifically for the contest, or have it written on a piece of paper that is shown briefly in the shot. Putting it in the title or the description of the video does not count! It has to be IN the video!

Film and upload your video to either YouTube, Vimeo, or Instagram (if on Instagram hashtag it #theory11) and post the link in response to THIS forum thread by no later than tomorrow, Sunday, May 12th at 11:00pm EST.

What can you win? 1,000 Elite Points, 5 of ANY currently in-stock decks of your choice, and a deck of Black NOCs, shipped on the house anywhere in the world.

    Good luck!

  6. Good luck guys. I guess I'm the first person to upload, so here's my performance, hope you enjoy:

P.S. I guess I got a bit carried away with the starting section and writing and all, but it's the first time I'm participating in these types of contests, and I don't know how much work I need to put into these videos.

  7. This is my entry for the Saturday Night Contest.
Is anyone else going to participate or not?

  8. This is the first time I am participating for the Contest.
I know my cut was not that great, but that's because I'm still a beginner.
By the way, nice one, mr_ARPY.

  11. Quick question: does this mean they we can't do any fans in the routine?
  12. Take it back, my routine actually doesn't actually use any good, but thanks.
  13. Thank you for considering my entry, this is a short multi-packet flourish that invented a few days ago, ironically. I hope you enjoy "flip side" (;

  14. Oops! sorry for that.
  15. First time I've been able to compete in a few months! Wow, and my entry isn't even that good. Moving sucks, I have no time to do the things I enjoy. Thanks for considering my entry.

edit: sorry about the crappy audio at the end, no time to fix it
  16. Since my video is kind of “unique” here’s it made easier: My video has three parts, each meeting the criteria above. Part one: the cardistry move, for this I simply moved the cards off screen, thus a cardistry move. Part two: the packet cut, this one I took a packet and cut it, easy enough. Part three: this was my disclaimer saying that my entry is for this specific contest. Thank you.
  17. Here is my video for the contest. I’m sorry it’s so close to the deadline, but it’s here anyway, I hope you like it.
