hey, is there a way to do a false display that there is nothing on your neck before you do this effect?

You know, a way to say, "Look there's nothing on my neck, this is not fake skin or anything like that on my neck" while at the same time making it look like I'm touching it to prove there's nothing there?

The most effective convincer in my opinion anyway, is at the end of the effect, after you've wiped your neck. By calling attention to the fact that there is "nothing" there, you're psychologically saying to your audience, "hey, look at my neck", which is the opposite of what you want, especially with that effect. There's no need to set the spectator up like that- they don't know what's coming, so don't worry so much about it. Harry Anderson said it best- "don't run when you're not being chased". ;)

Then again, that's just my opinion.
