You should make a patter to go along with the trick and then you should show expression when "it goes in your neck" like it hurts or something. That trick really makes it good if you show expression and like it hurts.

i agree with dejavu...even without patter, make it look like you're in pain.
You have to remember that magic doesn't happen by buying an effect. Practice, dedication and performance make it real to an audience, which is what your ultimate goal is-make them question whether it's real or not.

i agree with dejavu as well..... I would also add that try to be a little farther away and look at the camera, It would be also better if you get a friend to film you....
