It was pretty original. I liked it. Here are my 2 cents:

cent 1: You still need to work a lot more on it as some sleights are quite obvious/have bad timing making it obvious that you have done a weird magician move

cent2: is this supposed to be gambling or magic based? I couldn't tell which one it was with your presentation

It started off really well. Some nice moves in there. I enjoyed everything up to the pocket reveal. After that it just got confusing. Your patter needs to lead me through each step and involve me. Make me interested in each step (- why would someone care about watching this again and again?).

After the 2 disappears, the clean up is pretty fishy/awkward.

I would say either end it sooner, or clean up the second part. And the end was a bit pointing to method. Perhaps if you got rid of that last red ace too and had 3 money cards, that may be a bit more surprising.

All that business aside, you are on to a really nice routine that could be a real worker in the right hands. Keep working on it and show us your progress!

Thanks for your thoughts. Today I met a couple of magicians and they gave me some advice on how to get better connect to the audience, how to hold the cards and most importantly to do everything slower nd to strengthen the effect.

I will show you my progress really soon. I am planning to combine this routine with StandUp Monte. They literally disassembled the whole routine (in a good way) because of my presentation. So I will work on that a
nd I will see you next time.

Really liked your routine.
In my opinion you should improve your spoken script as well as some of your moves ( there were some Really clean moves though). :)

Today I showed this routine to 5 professionl magicians and the first thing they told me was to slow down. Then they asked why I present this routine in a gambling routine style when im under 18 and not yet allowed to visit a casino. Therefore they proposed that I should present it like this: "I am not allowed to play in a casino but it always fascinates me how they do it. So I will do it for you, but illegaly.

Slowing things down help a lot but you need to work on the moves a fair bit to get it up to performance level. The change that happens around the two minute mark if pretty obvious and from that point on it get difficult to buy into the patter instead of just watching for the next move to happen.

You tend to speed up the movements of your hands when ever you are doing a move so work on keeping everything happening at the same rhythm.

Also unless it is different in Germany three card monte is not a casino game it is a street game. I would change your opening bit to be about seeing it on the street not sneaking into a casino, unless they play it in casino in Germany but I would be pretty shocked.

It is shaping up to be a nice routine.

Thank you too for you viable advice. I will work with a friend on this routine and I will develop this little gem. I will post my progress again in the forum.

I have been a card magician for 4 years now, so take this into consideration. I would cut this down to a 5 phase build up routine. Why? Because (no offense) I started to get bored because of the length and also it was the same result every time. Like to a laymen in his mind its like "oh, that's clever" you don't want that... You want it to be "MAGICAL" I say this because its cool a monte routine where they always get it wrong but where is the magic in that? You don't want to produce the same result for two to three phases of the routine like when you are saying, where do you think it is? in the middle? you would be wrong. etc. Cut it down and make a buildup. What I mean by that is start making the tension rise and don't let them be able to expect whats going to happen next for example getting the card wrong again, make it appear somewhere or do a 3 card color change or something to leave them messed up. I would go with changing the cards like u did in the first where you followed the ace of hearts, and then I would change the backs like maybe 2 silver monarchs and a blue bike or something. The point is, make them want to see more and just be mystified with every phase. I would do 4 phases actually maybe 5. Check out Recoil by Ollie Mealing, and Fade by Chris Mayhew

not a problem, if it gets to a point you could make it good enough to sell on the wire! Keep posting video updates. If you need any more help with it, I would be glad to help you develop it PM me or message me on skype and send me a video message... Skype- uniquecardist

This wasn't that a good rework. I am heading in the wrong direction. I will upload another video this week.

Edit:
I want a monte routine on chest level. So I will have to start by 0 again. I am imagining something likw the Poker Test but with 3 cards. I will see...
