Spy coins?

So I was getting my daily fix of gadget news over at Gizmodo when I came across this http://gizmodo.com/5066992/hollow-spy-coins-are-perfect-metaphor-of-current-economy

Interesting, I wonder if I could put these to some sort of magical use. What do you guys think?
