This is all subjective. Everyone likes different things. Some people may say that a coin vanish is most practical and the best effect in magic but some people who don't like coins may not agree. Any trick that you do done to the best of your abilities can be made into the best effect ever.

my favorite effect is time travel. If you're talking about a specific trick/routine, i really like gary kurtz hypothetical possibility's of a non-linear flow of time. It has several very strong moments.
