Dear friends,

I have received a lot of PM's regarding the contest I announced couple of months ago. The contest is still going to happen, but I still need to decide upon couple of things.
First off, the contest is nearly impossible, hence the prize, but I need to see if it's TOO impossible and maybe change the rules a little bit.
Second, it is based on the true story, so I have to be sure the contest is going to be legal.
Third, am I poking some eyes with this contest, is it going to bother T11 since they already have contests of their own, so I have to find a way (maybe the prize will be $100 worth of T11 products, that way everybody is happy).

And this is going to be only the first one out of many, and no, not all of them are gambling, but yes, they are all very difficult ;)

Oh no, I certainly understand that. But I still think that Joey's stacking is the best thing I have seen from the "New Generation" so far. ..if you catch my drift.

Btw, I'm not trying to make a hype out of this, I have genuine concerns about some of the rules. Also, if I make it too difficult (which is what it's supposed to be, since it is based on a true event) than only 1 or 2 people will be able to do it, so it's not much of a contest, if you know what I mean.

Well if the contest involves recording ourselves moving in games YouTube will take it down to a policy they have against scams, and I dont think anyone serious about this stuff is willing to record that anyway.

Also what is the true event as Im positive hustlers don't go around dealing their partners a royal flush...

No no, don't worry, you will be at home, safe, recording yourselves with imaginary players. At no time is anyone going to reveal anything to anyone how it's done (including me). So it is all legit, just doing a gambling demo for a camera in your room.

Why are you so sure about the last sentence? ;) I witnessed it with my own eyes.

Well I'm not saying that it can't be done or hasn't been done. It is just overkill seeing as a three of a kind, straight, flush, full house, etc will often get the money and you will have less heat on you. Not trying to start an argument over it. :p

Also if it is a gambling demo I'm sure plenty of people are capable of doing it, and hustlers generally speaking do not have much technical talent, obviously there are exceptions.

Alright, time for more info :)
I used to work as a casino dealer before, and a fellow dealer (who got caught later btw) dealt his buddy a royal flush in diamonds on 5 card poker because that is the jackpot, around $80,000. He didn't get caught while he was doing it, even though there was a supervisor watching. It was only later when we watched the tape and slowed it down, we saw what he did.
I will change the procedures slightly for this contest as to avoid any legal issues, even though you can see the procedure in any casino that you go to, they do it in front of you.
So whoever succeed in doing it, will get a $100. And no, I don't fish for methods, I already know how he did it.
So the rules are going to be almost as in a casino, which is made to be impossible to cheat.....almost ;)

While I won't be participating because I know no gambling sleights, I am very intrigued by this. Any way we will be able to watch some of the videos?

Definitely. We will find a way to do that too.
Also, stay tuned since the next contest is not going to be about gambling at all, so you can participate in that one.

None, but it is pretty well known that 5 card draw died out years ago because of its dry, boring, and (I believe Doyle Brunson called it) "mechanical" style of play. Compared to other forms of poker such as Seven card stud, Omaha, Hold 'em, etc it is probably extinct as far as serious stakes go. Yes one can play it online an with grandparents at the kitchen table, but other than that...

But who knows, maybe draw is all the rage in Serbia.
