Totally Out of Control by Chris Kenner

Well this is one of the things I was looking at getting. one of the effects, "elevator" really interests me. I saw it in the media thing here. But it was a different handling. So I really have no idea how it looks. If anyone has it, how is elevator?

Also, aside from ten city, I really have no idea what the other effects are, so what are they? Also, if someone could just write a review about it, that would answer it all:)

Thanks.

I currently have my friends book, am borrowing it. It is out of print, and out of stock, that's why you can't find it. What questions do you guys have? That s the same elevator as in TOOC, at least I though. SW Elevator as it is in the book, is a really weird sleight that I dont understand, hopefully Chris can put it in the 1on1, to help us.

From Mitchell's post to mine. Hope this helps:
There are actually a few places that still carry the last of the books.

This site SEEMS to have it in stock:

http://nichewebsites.net/magicapple/pages/books_7.html

This is my local shop:

http://www.spectram.com/catalogue/index.php?recherche=chris kenner&itemID=26593&depart=0&limite=20

I took the liberty of calling them and they said they still have one in stock but it will go fast.

You can also check your local magic shop as they may have a couple copies left. You may also want to check Ebay from time to time to see if there are any auctions for the book.

The same goes for The Magic Auction (http://www.magicauction.com/)

Will Theory 11 be re-releasing this book? I mean, since Mr. Kenner is part of the team and all?

It is now in print again, according to Murphy's....so I'm sure it'll be easy to order up a copy from your local shop (if they deal with Murphy's that is).

Canada Eh?
I have it, I really like it. It will however take a looong time and a lot of hard work to practise it and get it right. The end result will amaze any audience and is a very nice kicker ending to any Ambitious Card Act. If you want more info on the effect, feel free to pm me.

ok to get back on topic
the elevator uses the SW Erdnase shift
a pretty hard move that not many magicians use (including myself)
it is similar to a pass but totally different handling
i think Chris explains it well and the moves used to hide the shift are pretty good

i think the trick is great its just not a move I'm familiar with (yet)

For one you can find it in Lee Asher's site.
That's good to know. I didn't know that it was available there.

However, I just looked for it, but could not find it. Are you sure that you're not confusing it with Thinking Out Loud?

Cheers,

This book is one of the best I own. The effects play well. The plots are great, and is very entertaining to read. You really want this book in your collection.
