Transposition effects

I am already planning for the talent show that wont be happening 'till sometime next year and I need some advice. I am doing Metamorphosis and I want to introduce it with a simple straight forward small transposition effect with cards or something (I will be able to have a camera on me so that wont be a problem). I need some advice on what effects I could do. I don't want to do anything Dan and Dave like Tivo 2.0, I dont want it to be that complicated.
Help would be appreciated :)

Do a simple transpo effect like this:
you do a DL and put one card down (Joker) and do another DL and put down a Queen, do some magical gesture and show that they switch places but with patter like this:

"Lets pretend that the Joker is the magician and the Queen is the assistant, If I put the Joker on the table over here, and I put the queen on the opposite side, *magical gesture* you can see that they switch places. Now let me show you this on a bigger scale. *Perform Metamorphosis*
