Trick Photography

Hi everyone,

I am looking to "expand" my general repertoire. I am looking for magic that appears to be like Trick Photography and/or magic that is essentially self-working so you only need to really focus on the presentation and your style. Any Suggestions?

Have you tried Rapture by Edward Boswell? It's a quirky way to start a card routine.

The first "self-working" (opinions vary on what that actually means) trick I learned was the 1st card trick I learned that sparked my interest in magic at the age of 12.

It was the classic 21 card trick.

Believe it or not this is still a very strong effect that I preform to this day but I modified it a little soon after learning it, and tweaked it a bit more over the years.

It's incredibly simple and if done in the proper setting and with the proper showmanship, it gets some great reactions, at least in my experience.

Finding the four aces without touching the deck. Your spectator does everything, you just have to give him or her the instructions in a very clear way. Hope it helps.

A lot of today's new magic is extremely visual. Just spend a couple hours on T11/penguin and you'll definitely find something.
