So, I was just reading a thread about someone appearing on a news station or something along those lines and it got me wondering. How do you guys get on tV?
I mean, do you know people at the station? Or did someone recomend you? Or were you working and someone offered it to you?
How do you guys get these TV appearances.
Hello!!! It´s me, the guy who started the thread about the TV Appearance, so the answer it´s very simple:
Pay them so you can appear all the time you need and also beg them if you have too!!
Just Kidding... my answer is to perform everywhere and anytime you can, in the bank, in the street, in parties, while your walking...that´s what happen to me, you´ll never know who´s near you!!
I was in a party (which I wasn´t invited to perform, just to hang out) and I started performing some magic because I wanted to. after a few tricks a guy just ask me If I wanted to appear in TV (I didn´t realize that there was an important guy in that party) and I said yes and I gave my number and they call me a few days ago...
my advice into doing it right, because I know everybody has been on a party and performing too!! is:
-always treat the people as if they were VIP, no matter who you think they are
- If you want to perform to call the attention, the people can tell that, if the perform is not paid, just perform because you feel it and wanted to... just to enjoy the magic, that way it´s better and more confortable for you
-Don´t ruin the magic by doing a trick that is way out your skill, because if you fail one trick everybody realizes that you just have fast hands and you´re not a magician, believe in the tricks that you already have perfected (this means at least in my case don´t use to many flourishes)
-have fun and be open to any invitation!!
