types of thread for gypsy thread routines

i'm working on a gypsy thread routine and was wondering if there were any specific kinds of thread that work best. i'm looking for a thread that is thicker but breaks easy. i was wondering if there were any specific companies that produce this kind of thread. thank you

Hey Mate,

No specific companies but I tend to find 100% cotton works best for me.

Those that have polyester are harder to deal with, harder to break and also appear a little thinner.

I don’t think the brand will matter so much as the 100% cotton does.

Thanks I just bought some cotton thread and it works perfectly for what I was doing. The reason I brought up this subject is because I was using thread that I would strip from cotton twine, And that took forever. So thank you very much
