Ultragaff vs gaff?

I would buy ultragaff because of a reason: with that deck you can create routines, and not just little tricks as with the gaff deck. Anyways, the gaff deck is also great, I also have it :)

I agree with you but I have some questions
1 There are so many cards which I think would be really difficult to use in a routine (the wallet card, the card with the battery, the $$$winner$$$ card and so on..). How could I use them?
2 Compared with the arcane gaff deck and ghost gaff deck, in your opinion, is the ultragaff better?
3 Where can I find some tutorials on ultragaff routines on the internet (free xD) ?

I am a gaff expert ... look the ultragaff already has the routines build for you , theres 3 dvds with houchin and garcia showing you the routines... on the other hand you have the gaff deck, it gives you the cards but you have to create the routine, they push you to be creative.. I personally believe, the gaff is much better with the tricks you can do. I do not recommend you buying an arcane deck or a ghost deck heres the reason why I believe if you pull out a gaff routine they need to be with cards that look normal like regular blue or red bikes. If you pull a gaff routine with an arcane or a ghost they tend to catalog it as a magic deck or a deck you bought in a magic shop, I hope you get the point for the gaff, bikes are the best, you have to stay on the down low.

Ya, but also with the ultragaff deck you can create your own routines and tricks and in my opinion it has better tricks than the gaff deck; also because I think in the ultragaff you can do a lot of routines with more cards. So what do you recommend me?

I just bought the UltraGaff deck, without the dvd's, and I'm having a blast creating both quick tricks and full routines. I don't have the other gaff deck, so I can't evaluate that, but the UltraGaff deck has enough gaffs for me. There are a few gaff's that I'm completely at a loss as to their use, but the rest are great. The deck comes with a few standard gaffs, like a blank card and a few plain double backers as well as the special gaffs designed for specific tricks.

I think I'm gonna buy an ultragaff deck, a brick with 12 decks (red and blue) and maybe a shadow master deck (*_*).
PS: YRAMagicMan, since you don't know how to use some cards, I suggest you to check on the internet and see if you find any useful tutorial "LeviCreations" makes a lot of tutorials with ultragaff deck ;) .
PPS: If I buy the decks from Ellusionist, how much will cost me the shipping since I live in Italy? Thank you all :D

Hi! I have ultragaff, and I also think it's very good. If you want to see what can you do with gaffs like one with the battery or others, you mentioned, just look up ultragaff trick on youTube. I think they give you previews of all of them, so you can see some of the routines, they can be very powerful, and good fun.
Probobly the best think is to buy them both. But if you want one for the beginning, I think, you'll be happy with ultragaff.

If you are to choose only one.

Ultragaff: Way more novelty. Way more visually shocking. Some of the cards I find utterly useless (like the wallet card). These ARE gaff cards though however and since you are choosing to use these red backed cards I'm assuming you want to have your deck appear normal (otherwise you'd be going Ghost). However because of this you are limited to routines. Are you a one-trick pony? Are you prepared to be palming and pocketing these gaff cards and carry them with you on a daily basis if you are called upon your entertainment skills for a group? Keep these things in mind.

Gaff: Sends a different message. Instead of taking things completely out of context (like a battery) it will take the things within the deck and do something magical. In my opinion it creates a more MAGICAL feeling to drop all the diamonds of a card. Some of these cards can also be left within your deck without too much worry of flashing or sorts.

Personally look at each card of each deck. What will you get the most out of? How many tricks can you do with the Ultragaff vs. the regular gaff? If you like packet tricks maybe just buy regular gaff decks off eBay? What tricks are YOU WILLING to perform not which cards do I think look the coolest. For me, the gaff deck is organic and in context, great for the street magician, little bland for the table magician.

I assume you're making this statement because you didn't try applying it to routine and perform it live, this one little gaff got killer reactions!
As a reply to the question, Ultragaff is 100 times better than the regular red gaff. One time last semester at school I perform the crime effect where the king stabs a card in front of the class and guess what, not only does it got killer reactions, everyday for about a year and a half people talked about this effect and by about three months, more than half of the students at school comes up to me and beg me to to do this effect for them. The crowded card is perfect for ace assemblies, the scratching card is perfect for casino, the what lies beneath card I can tink of at least 5 routines with that, and in that gaff deck contains the fairest version of the princess card that I've ever seen. I ABSOLUTELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this ultragaff deck, the BEST purchase for me in my magic career.

i would say possiblythe ultragaff by a slight bit. I have both and i find myself using the ultragaff a bit more. Dont get me wrong there both great decks of cards, but it depends with what you want man. Personally i choose the ultragaff

I say it because of the finish which causes one to control lighting conditions. But you do bring up a good point. Demographic. Ultragaff is made for the 13-18 year old crowd. High school is where I also too made the BEST reactions. However as time grew and I performed the same tricks for older crowds, and with more practice and technique on my side one would assume better reactions. But it was not so. I forgot about demographic. Older people thought I was some punk kid doing a nice little hobby.

So just note that different tricks will gain better reactions from different people (include culture if you're from a different country. I've found that China finds story tricks way more entertaining than America does. Short attention spans maybe.)

If i buy them on ellusionist how much will i pay for the shipping?

I will buy the shadow master deck and ultragaff on ellusionist, but where could I buy ( on internet) for a brick of 12 bicycle red/blue decks?
