Using cube magic to teach colors in Japan

Hello all!

I picked up Cube3 by Steve Brundage and spent three days with it. He is right that after a day of focusing on the cube you can learn it! I ended up using it today to teach about colors and using the question “how many ~”. The kids loved it! The teachers as well were pretty amazed by it. This is the first time I actully used magic in an English teaching setting. Normally I do a few tricks before class at my junior high school, but this was using it in a lesson.

Are there any other teachers out there that use magic in their lessons? Would love to hear about how you use it.

I taught French for 3 years. I used a Rubik's cube to time the kids on writing assignments. I'd have someone mix it, then I'd solve it. Once the cube was solved the time was up. Of course I never taught them any magic secrets in class.

I used the professor's nightmare to teach lengths, I used a calculator trick to teach numbers (I'll be releasing my effect shortly), and coin magic to teach prepositions. While it's not magic I also used a ton of mnemonics and memory palaces to teach key vocabulary.
