I've been thinking.
I always see videos on youtube that say:
'Tivo 2.0 variation' or 'Queens variation' or whatever.....
However, in many videos the methods are completely different from the original trick, but people still call them "variations" for some reason.

In these and other videos, the methods or the whole effect are completely different, so why do people call them variations? Aren't they completely different tricks?
To what exent can a trick be changed to still be a variation? If you us a different card control, is it still a variation? If you use a different color change, does that make it a whole different trick?
