Hey guys!

My neighbor gave me 5 packages of playing cards. Each package has 2 decks of cards. I know that at least one of the packages are from 1951 (the copyright said so).

Here's a link to the flickr photo's of the cards.

Any ideas of when they were made, where they're from, etc. would be appreciated.

The tax stamps being used as a seal were in use from the USPCC until 1965 - they're IRS stamps. Your particular one was from sometime between 1940 and 1965 (further confirming the 1951 date.) The Lord Baltimore cards go for around $15 (atleast, the only deck I have seen has gone for that much).

Judging by the looks, I'd say the only reason they're collectible is mainly the tax stamp used at the time - certainly not for their quality, if they're from the early '50s.
