wow let me be the first to say... those were both awful performances! The first one, Mike0092, aside from having the deck incorrectly set up had the personality of Ben Stein on downers. The second guy, Eclipse14000, stumbled through the patter line after line. It got extremely boring to watch and it was clear that he was struggling to remember the patter he attempted to memorize earlier that day.
Come on guys, take some pride in your videos. From a technical stand point it wasnt that bad, it could certainly be improved though. But your poor patter and lack of enthusiasm brought the whole performance down a LOT.
From these videos, it is clear to me that you guys are more like a couple of guys that know card tricks than a couple of magicians.
You have to remember that your audience (im referring to laymen not the magicians that will be watching this) is taking in the entire performance, and their appreciation for the magic is largely based on how entertaining your performance and interaction with them, not on how clean your double lift is.
So for my final bit of advice, i suggest you guys in the coming months spend just as much time performing and learning from real world interaction as you do practicing slights.
