This is the first of the weekly polls, I'm sorry it's so late but my car broke down on the way home. So here it is.... What is your favorite format of media for magic tricks? Please explain why your choice is your favorite, and if it's "other" (if there is an other) then please say what it is!

While I do think it's easier to learn from a video, you get a lot more from a book/pdf. More moves, more history, more everything in general.

Both are great obviously, but books are where its at..

That is where you can find all of the non-streamlined effects. =D

I chose other, only because my answer is "both". They both have their pros and cons. Some of my favourite material was only released in books, and others only released on DVD. And, of course, lots of information outside of just tricks was learned from both, as well. So, my answer is both.

Books. It is nice to have the visual instruction and all but I feel there is alot more information to be learned from books. Plus, with the switch from vhs to dvd and the eventual shift from dvd to blu-ray, you got alot to keep up with. So if you ever want to watch your old magic vhs tapes then you have to drag a VHS player out of the attic. Books never have a format shift.
