What does a closing and opening mentalism routine need?

So I perform Mentalism from the analytic view point of all my routines are psychological phenomena and the likes currently my opening and closing routines are invisible touch to open and 'spike' to end however the feeling of the show leave something to desire.

So my question is how do I decide what my open and closing routines are. What qualities do I need to take into account and anything else I would need to consider.

Thank you for any and all advice offered

What are the other routines in your show? How would you describe your character? What size groups are you performing for?

Your opening should show what the spectators should expect for the rest of the show. Your closing should leave them wanting to see more.

The other routines are a memory test and mind reading the mind reading being getting a member of the audience to think of a random card in a deck of 52

My character is a genius who applies their brain to psychological phenomena

Usually I perform for groups of 10-30 at a small theatre for my town
