If you could have any 5 things about magic, what would the products be?
If a set of 5 books counts as one thing, here is what they would be:
1. The Complete Set of Card College
2. Sonata by Juan Tamariz
3. Strong Magic by Darwin Ortiz
4. The Magic Way by Juan Tamariz
5. The DVDs of the EMC (Sadly i wasn't able to get a ticket)
So yea, most of them books except the EMC thing, because they can't be books!
If I had those 5 things I'd be set for the rest of my life.
-Casey
1)Smoke Chamber
2)Ultracinese
3)MC Casino Box
4)A female assistant (not a product but assistants are about magic)
5)Ring Flight Revolution
I've never heard of the first three but okay!
- A Theater with attached scene shop, full of all the necessary tools for maintaining a theater and building props/scenes.
- Money to pay assistance, crew, director, etc.
- Jim Steinmeyer's books on illusion and magical history
- General magic books about the History of magic, specifically on stage and parlor.
- Necronomicon
Ahh how I would love to do stage magic and illusions.
But, seriously a more obtainable list.
- Infinite supply of Bicycle playing cards. (I always seem to be missing cards)
- All of Tarbell
- Card College
- Encyclopedia of Levitations
- Reanimator from Outlaw effects (I have no one to perform it to, but the prop itself is a work of art.)
Ehh, may as well.
1)A personal chat with Steve Forte, Darwin Ortiz, Jason England, and Daniel Madison
(I'm looking into becoming a gambling aficionado)
2)An infinite supply of red and blue "Club Special" Bee playing cards.
3)The DVD's for EMC (Like others, I was one who did not have money on hand to pay for it)
4)Card College (vol. 1-5)
5)An ORIGINAL copy of S.W. Erdnase's Expert at the Card Table, autographed.
The Five Things I Would Love to Have:
1. Pure Effect and Absolute Magic by Darren Brown
2. Greater Magic by John Northern Hilliard
3. The Complete Works of Alex Elmsley (both volumes)
4. Apocalypse (All 4 Volumes)
5. Paul Osborne's File Box of Illusion Plans
Five Things I'll Settle For (i.e. stuff I'll get eventually):
1. Tarbell Set (all volumes)
2. Impossibilia by John Bannon
3. Steinmeyer's Latest Books - Technique & Understanding & Conjuring Anthology
4. Mnemonica by Juan Tamarz
5. Books of Wonder (both volumes)
The Five Things I Would Love to Have:
1. Pure Effect and Absolute Magic by Darren Brown
Two things. a) It's DERREN, not DARREN and b) I have both of those books got them when they first came out so only paid about £30 for each of them! Yeah that's right, you know you're jealous now...
Anyway enough boasting, my list would be:
1. A never ending supply of standard Bicycle playing cards.
2. All of Card College (Including the Light, Lighter and Lightest books)
3 All of Tarbell
4. All of Harry Lorayne's Material (I have his 'Close Up Card Magic' book and it's awesome!)
5. All of Nick Trost's material.
That's my immediate thoughts, Im sure I'll change my mind in a hour or so....

Oops.. I knew that. My bad.
And yeah, I'm jealous. My only consolation is that I have all of Card College (except Ligher and Lightest).
Trost's Subtle Card Creations are on my list, as is Minch & Krenzel's Relaxed Impossibilities, DeSouza's Deceptions, Acer's Random Acts of Magic, The Secrets of Brother John Hamman, The Secret Ways of Al Baker and... well you get the point.
I have 'Subtle Card Creations Vol 1' and it's great, though not as good as 'The Card Magic of Nick Trost' (classic book in my opinion, I recommend it to everyone). I also have 'Random Acts of Magic' by David Acer. SEVERELY underrated book in my opinion, lots of great material in their, plus lots of interesting essays. Also a very funny book to read. Get it whilst you can!
Also, totally digging the Bro. John Hamman and Al Baker stuff. We clearly have similar tastes. I can see you and me getting on.....
