Holiday Wheel and ancitipation speed

It seems that the wheel this year has a longer “dwell time”.

I noticed that the space right before it lands on what you get, it drags over REALLY slowly. But it seems that it’s slower this year than previous years.

Is this a cruel “feature”, or do I need to take my meds and go to sleep?

I don't think it is intentionally slower, though our dev team may have made some tweaks as they set it up this year.

I have no prior experience with the wheel but once it starts to slow down it seems to slow down at a steady rate for me.
