Stand-Up Elmsley

I am converting a close-up effect to a larger audience. One sleight used is an Elmsley count. I have been working on the count with my hands up for all to see. So far, so good, but I can't be the only one to try this. Can anyone point me to published instructions for this version of the Elmsley?

Try reading Fred Castle's "Magic with Giant Cards" (1981). It's a small, inexpensive pamphlet.

He teaches the technique for the Elmsley Count with jumbo cards, horizontally or vertically.

You can also find a similar technique described in "The Secrets of So Sato" (2016).

Scott.
Thanks for the link. The pamphlet was interesting. I have a jumbo deck somewhere, need to dig it out and try one of the tricks.
For my current project, the instructions were too brief. I wish I could have seen the lecture that went with these notes. Too bad Mr. Castle was pre-YouTube, no videos available. You hinted at the best tip from the notes, do the count horizontally or vertically. This effect is a repeat count. I think varying the orientation a couple times is more deceptive and it works well with my 'thought' script.
This was my first visit to the lybrary. I added it to my research sites, thanks again.
And Wow, I looked at some videos of So Sato. That book goes on the wish list.
