What is pointless is flipping, cutting, and spinning cards around for no reason. At least putting a story to it makes it flow and has some thought behind it. And although I agree, the story you want to tell, cannot be done justice through cards, I like to be wrong.
I was thinking that D&D's Werm might make an interesting garden/serpent illustration.
