    I love Design For Laughter..

Position Impossible = Riffle Shuffle problem

Dont worry about that, they will always cut correctly :)

    Double backer

I love the double backer subtlety move in Anniversary Waltz, but that requires another thing besides the double backer.

Position Impossible = Riffle Shuffle problem

You could ask the spectator to cut :) and then ask again "are you satisfied with that cut, or do you want to cut again?"

    Best Card Magic Books?

I love those books. The nice thing about (so called) self-working tricks is that they make it easy to focus on your scripting and presentation, something which is frequently overlooked by many! I would say Fulves and Bannon are my favorite in this category.

    Card Controls

In what world is a pass a fairly basic move? I do agree that learning a tilt is a good idea, but I would add that sometimes all it takes is to add a convincer, subtlety, or even a psychological aspect to a move/control. Aim to create offbeat moments for your dirty work and it will fly right by...

The Mastermind Deck by Chris Kentworthey

They are similar. I don't know how I can explain the difference without revealing either, but Brent Braun's deck uses an additional principle. There are some subtleties you can make with his deck, that you cannot with a mastermind deck, for ACAAN.

    Ambitious Card sleight

Just to update this thread, someone pointed out it looks like the last move in Lazy Rise, with cover instead of a wrist kill. I agree. Doppelganger looks similar to what I am doing in concept, but lacks the visual pop of it. I'd say Lazy Rise comes closer.

    Ambitious Card sleight

I honestly figured it out on my own, but I was betting on someone having the same idea. Can you tell me where to find it, or at least what's its name? I'd love to see Justin Miller's insight.

    Ambitious Card sleight

Hello guys, Today, at work, I was messing around with my cards as usual, and I came up with a sleight which probably already exists. I'm planning on using it for an ACR. I'd like feedback on it, and if you guys have any idea of someone who published this sleight, please point me to the right...

Well, if you are fond of the classics, R. Paul Wilson did a few dvds on Royal Road to Card Magic. Can't go wrong with Royal Road or R. Paul Wilson.

    A card magic trick/idea

I'm sorry, I tried to read it, but I couldn't understand it. What is the effect supposed to look like? You start with 4 kings and 4 aces. Then what?

    Do Your BEST Magic Trick

I have told spectators before that a magician's best trick, according to his/her perception, might not be very impressive to them. We spend countless hours perfecting finger stunts to the point of making them invisible, yet sometimes we get a mild reactions to them. Ironically, we can...

    Cards: Borderless and Bordered

What I find is a pain with borderless are reversed cards. They are very noticeable, specially if they are in bulk or in the middle of the deck. On the other hand, that situation is not that common for many tricks I do. Usually I'll have the reversed card towards the bottom of the deck and...

    Ambitious Card Routines

There's a reason the ACR is one of the classics that still stands the test of time. It is a simple, visual and transcends language. You could, if you wanted to, make a good ACR without saying a word in your presentation. It is so flexible it can be impromptu or it can be enhanced by...

    Ambitious Card Routines

There's so many things you can do with an ACR. I usually change the sleights a bit, but I always start with a M. Tilt The reason is that they haven't seen what you are about to do so there is no heat in the sleight at that point. If you do it correctly, you may even be 2 steps ahead, if you...
