I buy alot of things from magic websites but I go to the brick and mortor store at least once a month for the meeting of the magic club and I buy something every time I go. I can see an actual face to face demo of the effect from someone that performs it very well and even get some pointers...

I own a gunshop/trapping supply/fishing supply store by day and I am a driller on an oil drilling rig by night and I try to learn a little magic when I have the time.

I will get back but in the mean time,I have found a magic club to join and it's only about 160 miles from here and they will help me on the cups and balls and linking rings . But, the more sources I have themore I can come up with a routine of my own. Thanks.

I was watching an old video of Dai Vernon doing the cups and balls and also the linking rings and now I need to know: where is the best place to learn these -books,video or dvd doesn't matter. Thanks for the help.

My first few purchases were dvds from E because I found there website first but my first major purchase was the Harlan Tarbell course in Magic. A lot of magic classics in those eight volumes. A pretty expensive set for me but there is so much packed in that to buy that much in dvds would be...

My vote would go to the Mark Wilson complete course in magic or the Tarbell course in magic. Both have more magic than one person can handle.
