I have a question about the faro shuffle. I see some people do it starting with the bottom and some starting from the top. Is there any right way or is it your preference. I do it from bottom to top and can do perfect shuffles consistently.

Depends on whether the deck is traditionally cut or not, and how old the deck is.
Basically, if a deck won't Faro easily one way, I go the other way.

I just realized that it might help if you started from the top sometimes if you need the top half perfectly weaved. If I need a straight perfect faro though I would do bottom to top.
Adding on to age — once a deck is broken in, it usually goes in one direction as easily as in the other.
