Approaching Crowds

i am shooting some street magic at my school on Monday. and i do street magic a lot but i always have trouble approaching people. what can i say to make them watch me?

normally i only do magic when someone says "hey Sam, do a trick!"

but now im just looking for some lines for an introduction.

or hey can i show u some magic
. you can also be like
hey can i show u some magic? i got this book for my birthday that has a few tricks in it and we thought it would be fun to show some ppl.

"Hey Sam do a trick" sounds like you might have become their slave? No?

Remember, your the Magician, their the audience. Make sure people know your in charge. I had this problem at school. So Ive stopped performing there.

Just have a deck of cards in your hand. Say hello how are you doing today? Say thats good or Oh I am very sorry to hear that. Then say well I'm Sam and if you could It'll only take a few seconds, let me show you something cool. Here Pick a card.....................................Or whatever you please
