Attended Duane Laflin Convention this weekend!

I just returned from Duane Laflin's convention in Pittsburgh, PA this weekend. This was the first Gospel Magic event I have ever attended and it was a great time. You want to talk about having meaningful patter for your effects, this was definitely the premier venue to see a professional in action who conveys a strong message / theme.

Everything about Duane and Co. was top notch professional. From his Spider back drops to costume changes, everything he did was over the top and done with pride for our craft. It was an outstanding show.

If anyone here ever gets a chance to see his show in Tenn. or attend one of his Gospel conventions it was well worth it.
It went from Friday evening til today at 5:00 and was only $40.

I have some of Duane's older videos on silk magic and absolutely love them.

Even in those videos, he spoke a lot about assigning meaning to the things that you do. My worldview is respectfully different from his own, but I do have a strong storyteller ethic. His instructions still tapped into that.

I'd love to see Duane lecture or even just perform in person some day. Congrats for getting to go!
