theory11 — Magic Tricks & the World's Finest Playing Cards
I have to dissagree with you C3rb3rus.Expert at the card table was the first book about cards that i read and it's true that it has some tricks in it but it's not really a card magic bible.
'Royal Road To Card Magic' all the way for begginers, has everything you could want to learn and master.
Then when you advance and find your performing style, look into some hardcore sleight of hand books.
Like the ones suggested in Chris's post
Hope this helps

if this book was good enough for Dai Vernon its good enough for anyone.
Card College by Roberto Giobbi is a 5 volume set that ranges from beginner sleights and tricks to the more advanced. I highly recommend this set. You won't regret buying it - unless you already know all the sleights and tricks in it which I highly doubt. Is Card College more of an advanced or beginner book? Also, they sell The Royal Road of Card Magic on www.ellusionist.com.
does anybody know of a good card magic bible (can be on DVD)?
I am on a budget so pricing under 30$ would be good
