Hello!!
So you saw the title. I started magic 1 year ago, and I wanted to learn a pass. 1 week ago, I saw the Hermann Pass, that I found very clean. But I have a problem when I do it : we see the two packets that close. So It is not invisible. How can I fix the problem? Which cover can I use?
Thanks to all who read this!

There are many covers you can use - one of my favourites is, to turn over the deck while bringing
the two packets together (Turnover Pass). This is actually a really basic cover for the Herrman Pass but it's very convincing...

As already mentioned you can find this one and some other great covering techniques, tips and tricks in Jason England's Herrman Pass 1on1.

Alex Pandrea also has a great 1on1 on the Turnover Pass - I definitely recommend checking that out...

I have a very special Opinion to this topic:
In my Opinion the way you can make a pass 100 procent invisible is just with creating an off beat (for example asking a question).
If you can create an off beat you could even just cut the cards.
Don t get me wrong, it s not a bad thing to practice all these passes and try to make them perfect.
You can see hundreds of youtube videos, where the focus is just on the deck, and these passes seem to be invisble, but you know in a real performance, they would suck.
Unmotivated covers a more worse then just do any different logical control.
The Problem with most covers is simple: a card is placed in the pack, why do you dribble, riffle or do any shaking hand motions now?
No magic happens in this moment, so the focus shouldn t be there, there should be no hand motion in this moment.
The wish of the magicians to create an invisible pass with just technique can t become true, you might not see the actuall pass, but you will still see, that anything weird happend.
If you want to make your pass invisbile, work on your presentation, your audience mangement and your misdirection.

When you are able to do this move just try it out for real people with the advice above.

I find that if you do the move while talking that is great misdirection, but if you do need added cover for some reason then just move your hands apart from each other while closing the pass. This does require some timing to pair the gesture with your patter or conversation in order for it to look natural but it hides it perfectly. I wish I could describe the gesture I do but it is a little difficult. It is kind of like the gesture you would make when saying something like "Exactly!" (if that makes any sense.)

I hope this helps.

Just use misdirection when doing the pass. Misdirection as in talking to the spectator to draw their attention away from the cards...afterall at that moment before you do the pass, they perceive their card to be already lost in the deck. so when you get a break at the cards, dont execute the pass immediately when their still looking at the deck...wait for awhile and explain that the card is lost in the deck which will give you some eye contact with the spectator and thats when you do the pass...dont really need for cover as i think the hermann pass is already quite invisible. :)
